After You Get a Permit

At this stage, the septic system installation is typically responsible for the system’s operation. When scheduling inspections, it is necessary for the installer to notify the Zoning Office at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled inspection. Some systems may require more than one examination. An installation certificate will be supplied once the final inspection has been completed and authorized.

Replacing a Pump

An inspection or permit is not required for septic system maintenance in Sherburne County, including pump replacement, manhole lid replacement, pipe repair, and filter cleaning/replacement, among other things. If you are still unsure, please contact the Zoning Office, and we would be happy to address any questions you may have.

Replacing a Holding Tank

It is necessary to obtain a permission in order to replace a holding tank. In addition, a contract for the pumping of the holding tank is necessary.
