I’d want to construct a cylindrical riser above the lid of my septic tank to allow for quick and simple access. When it was first placed, it was simply buried with turf on top (I need to get in there twice a year to clean the outlet screen). Round plastic pipe with some form of cover, painted green, would be an inconspicuous and perfectly functional option, I was thinking. In an ideal world, the lid would be directly on the slope, allowing the mower to travel right through it without stopping.
In response to a brief phone conversation with one of their sales reps, I had my local yard drop what I believed may be effective, but I’m not convinced it’s the best option.
