  • Despite the fact that I have only dealt with them once, I would highly suggest them since they came out and took the time to find out the problem swiftly. I have no complaints about their service. They are sincere and caring, and they have presented me with evidence that the firm Moon SiteSeptic has failed to achieve what they have stated they will do
  • They are also professional and prompt in their approach. The office personnel, in particular, was a pleasure to work with! They were kind, considerate, and took the time to ensure that they addressed all of my questions, despite the fact that I may be difficult to understand at times and that my English isn’t the finest. I would utilize them again without hesitation! Chen H
  • Ultra Plumbing & Heating Drain Cleaning, Inc. is a company that specializes in drain cleaning. My septic tank began to overflow, and water began to back up into the home. On August 27th, I contacted Gary to thank him for responding to a request I had made through Angie. After I approved his quote, he came to my house the same day and stayed until I was satisfied. Gary determined the source of the problem and worked for several hours to resolve it. He kept us up to date on the progress of his efforts to have the system restored. Gary conducted himself in a very professional manner throughout the whole process, from the initial distress call to the presentation of his charge for services. His bill was exactly what he quoted me when I hired him, and I was happy to pay it. In the future, I would use the service again, and I would be pleased to suggest it to anybody who is in need of the services that he gives. Thank you so much, Gary, for a job well done. Charlie’s Angels Plumbing LLC is owned and operated by Don R. a team that is unprofessional and unreliable-the designated person (a blond lady) for the task came, was impolite, had a look around and then departed, claiming she was going to get materials, only for us to discover later that she does not want to work on the project. This was done without any discussion, and we were left without a plumber for the start of the job! Is there anyone who would want to work with such a crew? M B
  • They were supposed to come out and take a look at the situation. They did not complete the work, but they charged me $495, which means we will have to pay someone else to complete the task. They haven’t even bothered to contact me in order to do anything or to rectify the matter. There was no phone call, no voicemail, and no email. If I had the option, I would give them a zero because they are a dishonest corporation. I would advise everyone not to make use of them. Instead, choose A1 Gator Septic since they are less expensive, they came out, and they take photographs. Moon SiteSeptic Inc, on the other hand, did nothing
  • I paid them $495 for their services, and they did nothing. Christina M., et al. Not having used this firm before, I was happy to give them a call. Josh was a pleasant and courteous gentleman. I intend to use them again. Our kitchen faucet was replaced by them after they completed a thorough inspection of all of our plumbing fixtures. Walter S. Their plumber has left a lasting impression. We will absolutely hire them again in the future if we require service. To take advantage of an advertised “discount” from Angie’s List, I created a list of concerns that were not urgent, but nevertheless required care. Problems were quickly resolved, and Dave was both helpful and instructional throughout the process. I was really pleased with the service. Two men arrived and had the drain cleaned in about 10 minutes, cleaned up their mess, and then they were on their way. The first thing I want to say is that this is the most professional firm I have ever dealt with, from the minute they answer the phone to the moment they deliver the finished product. Everyone I came into contact with at Next Plumbing was nice and polite. From the minute they came, I had the impression that I could trust them. Upon receiving the photo and bio of the plumber who would be attending, the firm contacted me. The plumber appeared with a name badge and photo ID on his person. Before entering my home, he put on shoe booties and welcomed me with a grin and a business card, which he handed to me afterwards. I explained the nature of my problem to him, and he promised me that the task would be completed properly and expeditiously. As soon as the plumber finished working on the drain clog (which he did in an amazing manner), he pulled out a video camera and ran it through the sewer (which was incredible). He showed me where the clog was and what had caused it (user error, of course), and after finishing this work, he repaired several leaks throughout the house and installed my new kitchen faucet. Then, after he was through, he walked me through everything he had completed and showed me the finished product. Everything looked immaculate, and he even reorganized the area beneath my kitchen sink (which was in desperate need of it). I cannot recommend this business highly enough

Septic Pumping in Port Charlotte, FL – Costs 02 / 2022

Septic tanks are placed as a part of your home’s wastewater disposal system to collect and dispose of waste. Solid particles are removed from wastewater before it is discharged down the drains, and this is the responsibility of the solids removal crew. Solids from the bathroom, laundry, and kitchen are all possible sources. Solid particles will subsequently sink to the bottom of your septic tank as sludge or may float to the surface as a scum layer, depending on the temperature of the water. Following that, the pure water will go through a number of further purification steps.

A standard septic tank has a storage capacity of up to three years.

Ineffective solid removal processes can result in additional solids escaping into the soil absorption region, which can lead to increased soil contamination.

You will want septic pumping in Port Charlotte if you want to avoid this tragic catastrophe.

Performing septic pumping in Port Charlotte every summer, just before you depart for vacation, is highly suggested by experts. This can aid in the drying out of the soil absorption region as well as the decomposition of certain sild particles.

Many people do not give much consideration to what happens to the water and garbage that is flushed down the toilet or down the drain of their homes and businesses. However, if you have a septic system, you should be aware that the type of waste and water that flows down your drain can have a negative impact on the health of your family as well as your financial well-being. Charlotte County Septic Tank Cleaning FAQ

In order to ensure long-term treatment of various home wastes, all septic systems are constructed with this in mind. They have the potential to survive for a lengthy period of time provided they are properly maintained and operated. Due to inappropriate maintenance and handling, the lifespan of some systems may be significantly reduced. One factor that may have an impact on the life of a septic system is when pipes get clogged and when tree roots penetrate the system’s drainage system and pipes.

To ensure a long-term viability of your septic system, make certain that all issues are handled and resolved as soon as possible.

Symptoms of a failing septic system include sluggish draining toilets and drains, an odor emanating from sewage, any moist areas around the drainfield, and, in severe situations, tainted well water. Septic system failure may be prevented by following the steps outlined above.

In order to determine the status of your septic system, you should engage a septic system specialist to do an inspection. You can also get in touch with the local health district for further information. The most recent update was on December 31, 2021.

In Charlotte County it is inspected once a year by the county and you must be signed up with a contract to a company that will inspect and clean or whatever is needed every 6 months. This cost me $400 for 2 years with Martin Septic. There are only 2 people living here.

  • When we built our house here we were told aerobic tanks were required if the property was waterfront and less than 1/2 acre, and if the septic tank could not be placed at least 100 feet away from the water.

As I read about these systems, it seems they’re used when soil or other conditions on a property don’t allow for an adequate drainfield. We were informed that these aerobic septic systems are more expensive to install, must be pumpedmore often and require electricity to run and by law must be inspected twice a year, making them a lot more complicated than the soil-absorption septic systems.AEROBIC Septic Systems (Aeration Septic Systems) – ATU Aerobic Treatment Unit InstallationMaintenance in the U.S., Florida, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and other locations – Alternative Septic System Designs: for wet sites, ste I am even more confused than ever now.brewer’s yeast, Ridex, dissolvable tp to fishing out tp?In Charlotte County it is inspected once a year by the county and you must be signed up his with a contract to a company that will inspect and clean or whatever is needed every 6 months.Does this mean I need to get a contract lined up with someone right now even though my tank is new? • (installed this year)Where did you hear this? Your septic operating permit is good for5yrs.
  • There is no 6 month cleaning.
  • No contract needed.
  • When it needs to be pumped, your dumper pumper of choice will take care of everything.

Sea.Lass, it depends on where you live in Charlotte County, and what type of a system you have. I guess that’s more confusing, but basically, we’re talking about two types of septic systems. The more simple of the two is a soil absorption type, basically the waste water from the house flows through pipes into a buried septic tank. The solids sink to the bottom of the tank where they are biodegraded by microorganisms, the liquid remains at the top, and flows out through another pipe to the drain field.

  • There are no pumps/motors, the system works basically on gravity.
  • Depends on where you live.
  • Outside that area it would appear that such requirements aren’t in place, so you can see if you’re located in that general area- your realtor and neighbors would know that for sure.Managed Septic Systems – Environmental HealthThe other type of septic system is an aerobic treatment unit (ATU).
  • These are used when property conditions are unsuitable for a drainfield- too small, too close to a waterway, poor soil drainage.

Here’s a link describing these systems:AEROBIC Septic Systems (Aeration Septic Systems) – ATU Aerobic Treatment Unit InstallationMaintenance in the U.S., Florida, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and other locations – Alternative Septic System Designs: for wet sites, steYou can determine which type of system you have- I’d think either the sellers can give you that information (and hopefully provide manuals or other written owner information, especially if the system is new).

You’d be more likely to have such written information with an aerobic system.

It looks like Charlotte County requires homeowners living in the Manchester Waterway drainage area (see link) to do that.

If you’re located outside that area, there doesn’t seem to be any requirement to have the system checked, although it’s a good idea to do so.

The Charlotte County Health Department administers the septic inspection programs, and they maintain a list of home and business owners in the area to whom these regulations apply.I’m not familiar with the care and feeding of an aerobic septic system, but with a little care and knowledge, a soil-absorption system can be pretty much trouble-free.

But other than that, there isn’t a lot to worry about.I hope this helps!

There are likely quite a few of those aerobic systems around the county- on waterfront properties that are less than 1/2 acre.Apparently it’s the non-aerobic septic systems located in the Manchester Waterway drainage area, including the Spring Lake area (and I have no idea where that might be, LOL) that are subject to the five year inspection requirements.
