Septic systems installed before January 23, 1996 are considered compliant provided they fulfill the following two requirements:

STANLEY, North Carolina (WBTV) – The West Bengal Television Network (WBTV) reports that Over the last several weeks, we’ve had a significant amount of rain, and as a result, you may have noticed that your yard is quite wet, and in some situations, there may be standing water. When it comes to septic systems, it’s bad enough, but when it overflows, it’s downright dangerous. Bill Ward of Gaston County recently discovered that a portion of his front yard had been contaminated by wastewater. “It’s a poopy scenario,” Ward said with a chuckle.

In Ward’s words, “the puddle was deep enough that you didn’t want to tread in it.” As a result, he hired David Fecteau, of Dennis Willis Septic, to drain away all of the sludge from the system.

“Bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop,” says the narrator.

He believes it is equally as vital as keeping your automobile in good condition.

“If you take good care of your tank, it will last a lifetime,” Fecteau concluded.
